A transformation is under way at the seven hospital campuses that comprise the Mount Sinai Health System, with various projects that streamline and modernize facilities, and strengthen their ability to better serve patients.
Kenneth L. Davis, MD, President and Chief Executive Officer, Mount Sinai Health System, has called this “a landmark time for our hospitals.” The changes, he says, will increase efficiency and enable Mount Sinai to “stand out as a health care hub,” locally and globally. (more…)

Mount Sinai scientists and clinicians are making notable advances in the study and treatment of heart failure, a common condition that occurs when the heart becomes too weak to pump and circulate enough blood through the body. Diseases that damage the heart—such as coronary artery disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes—can lead to heart failure, which develops over time as the heart’s pumping action grows weaker. The Mount Sinai Hospital and Jupiter Medical Center, in Jupiter, Florida, recently announced a new partnership that promises to enhance the quality of cardiovascular care in South Florida and throughout the state with the creation of Mount Sinai Heart New York at Jupiter Medical Center. The collaboration encompasses nearly all facets of cardiac care and calls for physicians at both hospitals to share knowledge, experience, best practices, evidence-based medicine, quality protocols, and clinical pathways for improved patient care.
