“Judith and Devyn stepped in immediately to assist my patient, who had suddenly developed an altered mental status in the Endocrinology clinic. Both were extraordinarily quick-thinking and helped to do everything we needed before transporting the patient to the Emergency Department. They monitored vitals and thought of different ways we could increase the patient’s blood sugar. Judith’s unflappable demeanor and Spanish-speaking skills were essential in communicating with and calming the person who had brought this patient to the clinic. Devyn mobilized team members to ensure Emergency Medical Services was able to come up the elevator to clinic as quickly as possible, and then guided them down to the ED.  Because of how serious the situation was, it’s probable the patient wouldn’t have survived were it not for Judith and Devyn’s skill and agility. Thank you for saving this patient’s life.”
