Today, hundreds of MSBI employees in the hospital and the ambulatory practices got up early to make sure our patients received great care. For example, Rania Mohamed, a Radiation Oncology Therapist at MSDUS, left her home at 3 AM in order to be on time for the first patient of the day! Amazing. Many of you stayed overnight in the city with family and friends. And some of you slept in the hospital.
In the pictures below, I’d like you to meet some of your colleagues who are working today, despite the best efforts of Winter Storm Stella to make the morning commute impossible. These employees work all across MSBI Downtown – at Union Square, Chelsea Cancer Center, 34th Street, and 23rd Street. We also have pictures from the ED, Core Lab, Periop, and Food Services. Your co-workers in the Food Services Department worked very hard to provide breakfast and lunch to the inpatient staff. (Be sure to scroll all the way down to see all of the photos.)
I want to thank each and every employee who made special arrangements today to come to work, or to work an extra shift. I really appreciate it, and I know our patients are grateful too. I’m really proud to be a part of the MSBI Downtown community.
