On Sunday, November 9, 2014 over 100 participants (consisting of Mount Sinai RMTI staff, our community partners, patients & families) proudly represented “TEAM MOUNT SINAI” as we “Talked the Talk and Walked the Walk” at the 2014 National Kidney Foundation NYC Kidney Walk.
The NKF continues to be a vital source of education and resources for patients with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), their families and community providers. The NKF has made great strides in early detection of kidney disease through their Kidney Early Evaluation Program (KEEP) screenings throughout the country.
Additionally, we were the #1 highest corporate fundraising team (once again!) and the #6 highest fundraising team overall! Not only had we reached our fundraising goal but we had EXCEEDED it. Overall, we had a great day supporting a wonderful cause!
I’m proud to announce that Team Mount Sinai has collectively raised/donated $31,126.00 for the 2014 NKF Kidney Walk. The walk as a whole has raised $858,450.00. (Congrats to the NKF for exceeding their goal this year as well!)
Thank you to everyone who participated and/or showed their support! Donations are still being accepted. Please visit our team page at http://donate.kidney.org/goto/TEAMMOUNTSINAI for more information.
We look forward to walking together again next year and hope to see you there!
